I’ve been saving a whole whack of colour inspiration that I come across on Pinterest not only in home goods, but packaging, candy, photography inspiration. Everywhere I turn, I’m drawn to colours that pop. Pinks, Neon Yellows, Lime Greens. I can’t seem to get enough. It helps that my house is totally white (with the exception of our dining room, which I still debate repainting white) so incorporating these colours into my home is pretty easy. Stay tuned for a basement / studio / playroom makeover that I’m working on (just a few final touches) and you’ll see how I’ve been incorporating these colours into my house.
I’ve been dying to own Anna Spiro’s “Absolutely Beautiful Things” book since I saw the cover a number of months ago. I’ve followed Anna’s blog on and off for over five years, and loved her way of styling and decorating. When I saw Furbish was carrying it back in December, I did a little jiggity-jig jig but held back buying because I was being sensible. Then, a few weeks ago I saw on Furbish’s instagram feed some pink candle holders and nearly died. DIED I tell you! Never have I obsessed over something as I did those candle holders. (Full disclosure I may have been PMSing, and off my rocker) but regardless I bought three of those suckers and added Anna’s book to my cart and checked out. I did it. The parcel arrived and I cannot begin to tell you how glorious it was to hold this book in my hands. It’s more lovely in person. I think I bought the last three votives as they were marked to SOLD OUT shortly after I splurged. [Update: They are available again!] But hopefully they bring them back.
I love, love, love Valentine’s Day stuff. I’m already making valentine’s treat bags for Oscar’s class, and squealing like a little kid walking through the Dollar Store Holiday aisles (which, were loading up with Valentine’s Day stuff right after Christmas – which was random, but never the less….) I go CRAZY for this day. So this post is dedicated to the ridiculously fun stuff on the market for this season. Enjoy!
