taking a break in a world of ever flowing content

photographing the new bedding line

I’m coming off a creative rush over the last year.  I’ve been on the constant output of creativity for my business -The baby line. The bedding line. The baby swaddles. The Penny Paper Co. product line has grown. Even a new business. Each one has different energy, excitement, processes, manufacturings. It has been a wild year and I’m thankful that I’ve been offered opportunities like these. But the creative rush is also a manic one sometimes. Creativity can be all consuming.  Continue Reading →

New Swaddle and Bedding Line

I can’t believe that I haven’t posted about this yet – although if you follow me on Instagram you will have seen the news. I’m ridiculously excited to finally blog about my newest addition to my collection – A line of baby textiles. Found in retail stores across Canada like HomeSense, the collection includes baby swaddles, crib sheets, twin size sheets and full. This has been in the works for over a year. This tops off the collection of ready to hang art and pillows that you can find as well. Continue Reading →

New Collaboration / LoveFresh x Lindsay Stephenson Baby Line

I’m ridiculously excited to announce my newest collaboration – a collaboration with the awesome LoveFresh, the  maker of all the best natural body care products. The idea for collaborating with LoveFresh started as Stacey Davis, the founder of LoveFresh, and I talked over coffee about Oscar’s love of after bath time baby massage when he was a baby.

Toronto Totes / special gift with purchase

1a 10.54.17 PM

I’m having the best time coming up with designs and products, and with the growing retailer base for the shop as the business grows, it allows me some more creative freedom to come up with new products as we have more opportunities to get them into your hands. This one is for the fellow Torontonians that read this blog – we’re launching #TorontoTotes which are all the neighbourhoods in Toronto (well, not all – I don’t have unlimited funds at this time but let me know if something is missing). Coming in April are all of these beauties. neighbourhood_bagsCanada Art Print

GIFT WITH PURCHASE!
Get a Free Art Print Valued at $20

If you pre-order one  we’ll be sending you a FREE gold foil Canada Print (Value $20) with it.  Which pretty much is the value of the bag. So it’s kind of a crazy deal.

How to Order: Add a bag to your cart. Buy it. We’ll ship it when they arrive mid April. The free print is automatically added to your shipment when shipped, so no need for a promo code or anything (don’t add it to your cart otherwise you’ll be paying for it which is no good!) You can tell if it’s a pre-order by the product title. As long as your receipt says “Pre-Order” on it then you’re qualified for the free gift. Once the bags are in stock,  the free gift with purchase is no longer in effect.

Ps., See the site for the full list of what neighbourhoods are available – the picture doesn’t reflect all xo

new luxe pillow collection

IMG_9167 IMG_9233-2

I’ve launched a collection of luxe pillows, that are made with a soft velveteen fabric printed with my patterns. They are made in Canada, ridiculously soft, and made in small batches. You can find them on PennyPaperCo.com and coming soon to some retailers (I’ll post when that is updated!) In my own home I use pillows as an instant room changer, and this is really what the collection is about for kids rooms. It’s about adding a pop of whimsy to a bed, but also some style that appeals to the design-loving parents. Visit the collection here.
