We’re planning our back deck remodel (we’ve been planning it for 10 years) and I’m hoping to share some updated shots of what we’re going (planning / wishing) to do. Part of the planning of the deck has been trying to visualize how we’re going to use the deck – which is hard, given that I’m a ding dong with spacial planning. Until the deck is actually built, I’m stuck in a state of just dreaming of how we will use it. But I have an idea that I’d like it to be used as a lounge area, with deep seating where Aubrey and I can sit and just enjoy the Spring / Summer / Fall season until the Canadian Winter puts us in a snow globe. It’s because of our short enjoyment of the seasons that I feel like we should focus on enjoying our space outdoors and, make it comfortable.
Jardin De Ville invited me to visit their showroom to see their new Spring / Summer 2018 collection awhile back but because I’ve been knee deep in planning of the National Stationery Show in New York, I wasn’t able to make it event – but this past week Aubrey and I had an opportunity to head into the showroom in downtown Toronto to see what they had in store. It was actually a really nice chance to see where our tastes are similar and, vary. Aubrey likes the more art pieces whereas I’m focused on comfort.
My favourite. OMG. This chair.
The white, the clean lines. It’s california, and doesn’t scream too minimal. Look at how the joins connect – it’s beautiful.
I just want to have multiple gardens to be able to use a variety of their dining tables outdoors.
Here are some of my favourites from the new Spring / Summer collection (which you can see all of the collections here)
The Peacock lounge chair is amazing. It makes you want to stay and just relax. It’s wide and comfy and that blue is stunning. But I’m also a fan of the aged teak look of the skalen line from the collection. I can’t decide.
