A few months back we took a mini vacation to Rochester, New York overnight to visit the Strong Museum -The Museum of Play. A girlfriend told me about the museum and I quickly hopped on Google to see what it was about. A few weeks later, we did a mini road trip – stayed in a hotel around the corner from the museum and then drove back to Toronto the following day. Oscar has been asking to go back, so it gets his seal of approval. 🙂 See more photos from the museum after the jump.
There was a grocery store where you can checkout and get a printed receipt of the items you purchased!
I am a big fan of imaginative play and so the quotes / information on the power of play was really interesting to read.
Then you get to the video section and I pretty much lost Aubrey and Oscar.
When we went there was a Hot Wheels exhibit! (It is on until April 24th, 2016)
There was a Hall Of Fame – which was really interesting to read through. Seeing / reading who was behind iconic games that are a part of childhood was a highlight.
It was a mix of history with activities for the kids. Oscar was pretty much THE perfect age (5.5 years) for this.
