I have partnered with Kellogg’s Rice Krispies for a three part sponsored series to bring awareness to their Treats for Toys program – a great initiative that helps raise money for the The Salvation Army, for the purchase of an actual toy for a child in need this Holiday Season.
Kellogg’s Rice Krispies* and The Salvation Army have come together for their third-annual Treats for Toys holiday program. Simply create toy-shaped treats using Rice Krisipies and upload a photo of your creations to www.treatsfortoys.ca.
For every photo uploaded before December 21, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies will donate $20 to The Salvation Army for the purchase of an actual toy for a child in need. Huzzah!!! How amazing is that! In the first two years of the campaign, Canadians helped Kellogg’s Rice Krispies raise more than $60,000 for The Salvation Army to buy toys for children in need. I have taken part (more on that later!) and here is how you can too…
HERE IS HOW YOU TAKE PART
1) Create your toy-shaped treat using one of the five Kellogg’s Rice Krispies examples available on treatsfortoys.ca or design your own. (We designed our own, which I will show you in a bit!) The beauty of this project is that kids – young, or, the young at heart, can take part. And it is a great way to hang out as a family or, with friends (as we did!)
2) Once you are done, take a picture of your treat and upload the photo to treatsfortoys.ca. You can also share your work of art on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram using #TreatsforToys.
For every photo uploaded before December 21, Kellogg’s Rice Krispies will donate $20† to The Salvation Army for the purchase of an actual toy for a child in need.
